Would people like to see a dedicated "Ride Board / Event Calender" for the site where any registered user can post a wkly ride, special ride, or other special event?

This would not be a forum, it would be a clear a concise page listing rides and events sorted by date, but have a forum type advantage of allowing all registered users to post their ride/event to it. I could also add a feature that allows other registered users to sign up for the event so the community can see who is planning to attend a ride/event.

Feed back on this would be much appreciated. If anyone has additional thoughts on what they might like to see on the site other than this please let me know.

Love it...........it would be great. You wouldn't have to be a member to see the rides though, would ya? Would like the read accesible to anyone that comes to the site.....we don't want to pressure any newbies to have to sign up for a team when they don't know what we are about.

If the rides had details on its intensity that would be great for ones that want a hard workout opposed to a fun leisurely ride...

You would not have to be a registered user to view the "Event Calender", but you would to add items to it.

Sounds like a great idea to me...

Another idea - are we interested in posting the various race schedules (EFTA, RT66, tris, 24hr, etc.) and who from Team Pinnacle is planning on attending? Might be a way to work out car-pool and other logistics early, and also get more people attending.

I definately had in mind people being able to post an individual race and others being able to indicate whether they are going/attending/etc., same goes for an individual ride or other event.

As far as a comprehensive list of all races everywhere :?: What do others think?

My initial intension was mostly for creating a ride board with flexibility but perhaps what we really need is a dedicated Ride Board, Race Schedule, and Event Calender. This could be availble from a single link like Local Loops but called something like "Rides, Races, & Events" and inside you would have a separate link to "Ride Board", "Race Schedules", and "Event Calender".

Reason for this kind of thinking is the Site Nav Bar at the top is quickly becoming crowded and there is lots more that could be done, so I'm thinking condense and comparmentalized into like info/activities.

The more feedback I get on this kind of stuff the better we can plan and grow the site.
