Snowshoe at my house at 5:30pm.

All are welcome. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we won't lose too much snow between now and then. Clocks spring ahead this weekend so lights are likely not to be needed especially if it's a clear night like this last Wed.

Weather's looking pretty sketchy out there, was anyone still thinking about coming tonight if the rain stops this afternoon like they are predicting?

Ryan,

As you might expect, I'll need a little more recovery time for my injury.

Riding my bike is easier on it, though to run will require about another week of nurturing. By then snowshoe season may be over. I'll miss the beef stew, chili and beers though. Thanks

I'm taking a survey of the snow conditions outside and they don't look good. I suspect there is plenty of snow in the woods still even after the rain but another week of warmer temps and I suspect you are right Dana, snowshoeing season will be over, at least on the Pinnacle.

That said I was doing some off trail bushwhacking on the southwest corner of Coit on Monday and ran into some knee deep heavy snow. Needless to say I was happy to get back to the packed Summer Street trail. I headed down Summer towards the water towers and there wasn't a single snowmobile or otherwise track on it. With the new 3+ inches we received and still in the trees coming down Summer was real nice.

Anywhere the that doesn't get much sun still has a good amount of snow but you might have to walk a mile on dirt to get to it.

Unless we get some more snow after that rain and what is likely to be a continuing warming trend, I fear Dana's assessment is correct, Snowshoeing season is likely over for this year.

Good news thou, Biking season is right around the corner!
