I'm taking a survey of the snow conditions outside and they don't look good. I suspect there is plenty of snow in the woods still even after the rain but another week of warmer temps and I suspect you are right Dana, snowshoeing season will be over, at least on the Pinnacle. That said I was doing some off trail bushwhacking on the southwest corner of Coit on Monday and ran into some knee deep heavy snow. Needless to say I was happy to get back to the packed Summer Street trail. I headed down Summer towards the water towers and there wasn't a single snowmobile or otherwise track on it. With the new 3+ inches we received and still in the trees coming down Summer was real nice. Anywhere the that doesn't get much sun still has a good amount of snow but you might have to walk a mile on dirt to get to it. Unless we get some more snow after that rain and what is likely to be a continuing warming trend, I fear Dana's assessment is correct, Snowshoeing season is likely over for this year. Good news thou, Biking season is right around the corner! Ryan
