Snow and ice out officially declared on all lower single track, have not explored Coit yet. Single track is firm and ridable for anybody who wants to get out. You will be dealing with many leaves and branches until we get things cleaned up, and there are a couple trees requiring chainsaws. Overall, I would say this has been one of the easier winters recently and clean up should be easy. The double track areas are still wet, especially from Forest Trail to Ridge.

Get out, enjoy, and maybe toss aside a few branches along the way. I am thinking about orgnizing a clean up day for next weekend. A couple teams and a few hours will do wonders. Keep an eye on the trail maintainence board.

Thanks for the post Brian.

I have started prelim cleaning of debris from my side but haven't got very far yet. I also have not got out past the Salem's Lot Summer intersection yet.

Based on last year and my last snowshoe a couple weeks ago I would expect there to still be snow on the north side of Coit. The south side on the other hand is completely void of snow, it was all gone on my last snowshoe, had to go all the way around to the north side but the snow was still deep there.

I would avoid Coit north for a while but if you had the need to climb Coit it could be done via the Old South trail and then descend via Brake Burner or Backlash.

I'm in for a trail day next weekend.
