It didn't rain much here in Cornish...how about Newport? If it stays relatively dry, is the wed night ride happening? I'd be up for a guided tour of the area if there was any interest.

Jon (and everyone else),
We are riding tonight at 5:30, departing from Newport High. Bring the climbing legs, might be a mountain involved tonight. There will also be a team uniform distribution tonight.
If it gets really bad and everyone bails last minute could someone give me a head's up, cell: 603-568-2957. Hate to waste the gas.
thanks,
jon

Hey guys,
Thanks for showing me around the trails last night. Fun stuff - appreciate all the work that goes into them, glad the weather held. Look forward to doing it again soon. I'll have to look for a trail map so if I end up there solo I don't spend weeks wandering around the back hills of Newport!

Jon,
Glad to have you along for the ride it was fun.
You can find the most current map of the Newport Town Forest here: http://www.team-pinnacle.org/media/pdfs/town-forest-plus.pdf. None of the new stuff or changes in the last 2 years are on it so it's not exactly current but it's what we have. Hopefully at some point this summer it will get updated. For the most part the trails in the Town Forest are accurate, however once you get down towards Coit Mountain a lot is missing or changed about the map. Hope it helps. If you're ever looking for a ride partner post here and chances are one of us is available.
Fortunately or unfortunately we were never more than a couple miles from civilization so if you do make a wrong turn you'll probably just end up on a town road somewhere.
