Brian,

I will be away, but you will have to check out the new Brake Burner Extension, I think you will like it.

I had a good solo mission yesterday until I get to the far side of the start of the Coit Summit Trail then all hell broke loose with the weather  . Got to the top and decided the fastest way down was brake burner  - FUN in the downpours! Trails quickly turned to rivers so I hoped on a fireroad to get out (bad move). From the looks of the map I think I was on Baptist Hill - ended up on a road about 4-5 miles away from the high school  . Great to be out non-the-less!

Do you guys not ride Bear Trap much?

Brian, I haven't seen much of Bear trap this year, not sure about the rest.

If you hit the road 4-5 miles from the high school I'm thinking you came out on Sand hill Rd to route 11 (this would be at the bottom of Bear Trap or Coit North / Outback), if you had come down Baptist hill, you would have come out by Luxury Drive Appartments to 11 and that is only about 2 miles to the high school. Both these routes would send you through the center of town before you got to the high school. If instead you came down route 10 straight to the high school without passing through town you probably came out onto rt 10 in Croydon Flat via Outback to carraige road to long dirt road downhill.

Hey Ryan - How do you get to the top of Coit without taking Bear Trap around to the start of the Coit Summit Trail? Do you guys climb Vances???

Hey Brian.

I have gone up Vances a couple times but it's not very friendly and requires some hike a bike. At present there are only really two options for climbing Coit. Coit North which would be Bear Trap to Outback to the Coit climb, or Coit South / Avery Trail which breaks off of Salem's Lot at the top of the switchbacks.

Hope this helps.
