The snow is on it's way out boys. Time to starting thinking about organizing a Spring Clean up day. At some point this weekend I'm going to do a scouting mission. Please rally the troops in anticipation of a trail day soon.

Note on my last snowshoe a couple weeks ago I ran into numerous new skidder tracks in the vacinity of Bear Trap. Looks like Dodd is working that side heavily this spring in addition to some continued work on the other side of Summer at the base of Coit. It will be curious to see what that area looks like.

As of Sunday 3/21/2010 most of the trails I saw that are south facing or get a significant amount of sun are now mostly snow free. Once you get into the shadows however there are large amounts of snow out there. It will be interesting to see what this rain and upcoming week does to the remaining snow.

I removed the tree on Eastside South of the playground, removed the tree at the top of the Pinnacle at the entrance to the connector trail to Pine Link, and cleaned up all the visable debris a blower wouldn't take care of on Eastside from Baptist Hill to the Salems Lot cut off and on Barton from the playground to the Pinnacle Summit, the new Summit connector to Pine Link, and the new Pine Link section to the Salems Lot cut off.
