Moody Park ride for those who aren't doing the Corbin Loop this Wednesday at 5:30 at Moody Park. Course should be in decent shape. for the race this weekend. PJ

Mark and I were there at noon today and it sucked. One lap and we left to pick up the road bikes. Lots of mud, wet spots a couple trees down and more boney than I remember from previous rides. DON'T charge down the gravity cavity it is washed out except for the far left side. A couple new bridges and it looks like they have been doing some work but it is in do shape for a race. Looks like they may need some help.

All the more reason to do the Corbin ride. There will be some mud but for the most part it will just just be wet on hard packed double track.

I will not do Moody Park tonight due to recent reports of conditions. I will instead ride the Pinnacle and break the climb record up Coit. Anyone interested? PJ

I'll be there, you can drag my ass up that little hill. Maybe we can get a paceline going? [img:7c60f52a7e]http://www.team-pinnacle.org/albums/bc_personal/120x90.png[/img:7c60f52a7e]

Granted, the Moody trails were in rough shape. Of course, we've lived through a @#$%ing monsoon through this spring and early summer. However, we've had some good drying weather, and no rain forecasted through race day; I expect most of the mud will dry up reasonably well. Also, the course will get cleaned up and will be the ready for racing come Sunday. I'll hopefully do a pre-ride Friday evening and I'll try to post a "trail improvement" report. MG

As expected, the trail conditions improved greatly. The entire course has been raked and blown, and the Cavity's cavity has been filled - although you will find firmer ground on the left side as you start the descent. Most of the mud dried up reasonably well, and we still have another good drying day to go before the race. The entire course was ridable (maybe not by me, but ridable) except for one wallow - you'll know it when you see it, and I humbly suggest you come off the bike before you enter it, rather than do a superman endo with a wet landing. Some new single track was cut around hopeless sections. After the long climb and across the field, you'll turn hard right shortly after you enter the woods. It's brand new single track, but hey, it's downhill! "Job well done" goes out to the Claremont folks who did such a good transformation in such a short time. I hope I'll see some of you at the race, and some of you at Prouty, and maybe a few at both? MG
