Corbin Loop:

Well three of us started at 5:45pm last night and returned about 10:20pm. Inbetween was 33 miles of the most unforgiving terrain. I've rode the loop before when it was mostly dry and it wasn't all that bad but last night was an exception. The rocky technical decent coming down from Skyline Drive into Croydon flat was to quote Bill Knight "like class 4 whitewater" from all the rain we got earlier in the day, I think you could have taken a Kayak down it. The best you could do is avoid pooling water and hope for the best. Mud, well, let's just say there was plenty of that to be had. My bike and me took quite a beating but I think we'll both survive to tell the tale.
