Brian,

I might be interested in riding with you. You should be aware thou that we had a nasty wind storm over the weekend. I'm going out today to assess the damage, but my guess is the trails are in real rough shape.

I am interested and might be able to also. I don't know about a whole 3 hours, but I could probably go out for a couple.

I too and going out to help clean up the trails today.

I know what your saying about the wind storm - We had the same down here BUT fortunately our trails got hit with 2 nasty storms this past summer that took most of the dibris down then.

Hopefully things aren't that bad. If they are terrible I'll lend a hand Saturday and clean up as I go!

come back tomorrow with good news Ryan!

Saturday sounds good. I wonder if anyone has a new SS they want to try out too?

Ken & I went out for a couple hours and much to my surprise what I saw wasn't all that bad. I'm sure there are a few big things down out there but only saw one big tree down tonight at the junction of North Boundary, Ledge, and North Trails. Fortunately this one is a simple couple branches and walla circumvented.

Thanks for the invite...but I will be hunting tomorrow. Have fun riding...you guys never quit!

I will make sure that I do not shoot any bike riders!!

Don't worry...I will not be hunting on Coit/Pinnacle!

I'm thinking studded tires and warm clothes are in order this morning. Getting to the top of Coit could be an adventure.

I'm not thinking 3 hours of riding thou, but we'll see.

Brian,

Thank you for coming up and getting the guys together for one last blast of the season (well maybe there will be more). it was fun. 30's and a few snow flakes, what a way to wind down the outdoor cycling season.

Dan, I had the hammer down and two guns blazing, I wanted to pass you so bad approaching the Plummet I barely even noticed air. Your description of my pass really made my day, thank you.

Same here Brian. Thanks for getting us all together.

Sorry I missed all excitement at the end. Ryan gave me a quick description of all Brians jumps. Apparently we also need some air traffic control at the top of the plummet now.

I had a fun time hammering down the mud pit we used to call Summer St. Extension. I got to the bottom and looked like I had gone muddin'

Dan, it's a couple hours later and I'm still giggling to myself like a little kid over your response.

I honestly didn't know if I went airborne or not, I was more focused on sticking my line, holding my rig together, and getting by you. So when I asked, "Dan do you think I caught any air?", your response and the look on your face was priceless.

How'd it go, oh yeah, "I hear this noise getting louder and louder, and you know it's loud because I don't have my hearing aid in and I can hear it LOUD and clear, then I look over, and I see you passing me, IN THE AIR, ON THE PLUMMET!"

I'm sure my air paled in comparison to Brian's, but I'm still laughing about it.

No problem about the link and chain, I'm glad the 2 tons of gear I carry in my pack could come in handy for once, and it wasn't even my bike, or cushioning for a bad landing this time.

I should explain the noise I heard coming up on me as I approached the ski jump. I knew Ryan was close and I kept hearing these jingle bells (Ryan's bear bells) getting louder and louder. Just as I break the top on my left I see at man in a red jacket and beard flying past me in the air through the snow flurries yelling (in a happy jolly way). If you would have had a reindeer pulling your bike you probably would have had five guys sitting on your lap in the parking lot and heard all about our Chrismas wishes. But it was just Ryan in his red jersey going fast.
