Anyone up for a ride? I'm flexible on time, but am thinking later in the morning (like 11:00) so as not to aggravate the hunters - rifle season opened this week.

I can't go for a MTB ride, wife doesn't want me to get shot, but I am interested in a road ride. I could meet you at the HS around 11:30 if interested.

Another beautiful 60 degree November day, how could you not ride. After the initial 10 mile warm up period I had a fun ride. Thank you for slowing down and waiting for me.

I was expecting cold, put on too many layers and was very warm the whole time. I had a fun time, even being destroyed by Mark and having to work my butt off to keep up with Ryan on the hills near the end.

I just can't believe how nice it was outside today

You might be a little less harsh on yourself if you realized Mark & I choose our battles, you choose all battles. Two against one doesn't quite seem fair if you look at it that way.

I was a little surprised when I looked at my bike computer after and realized we averaged 19.41 mph. Considering I slowed down and just cruised in the last 3 miles we were probably well over 20mph.

Ken, How your legs feeling?

My legs are tired, but I feel good. I had a lot of fun.

Hey, I'm a newbie to the area. I actually checked out the Pinnacle trails this morning around 10:30. Didnt see any of you guys out, but those trails are great. I'm not very good and crashed alot but still had a blast! Perfect day for a ride. :)

Doesn't matter how good you are. Only matters that your out there riding. Always very happy to see and hear about newbies on the trails.

We ended up going for a 32 mile road ride rather than MTB ride.

Welcome to the Forum Mikey. I was new to the area 3 years ago, now I crash like the best of them. Trial by fire I say, that's the way to learn.

FYI, General firearms season started Wednesday, best to let them shot it out for a couple weeks or ride at night, or strap on some antlers and a bushy white tail and go for a ride in the woods, whatever floats your fancy.

Post up the next time your riding and maybe someone can give you a tour.

So maybe Dan shouldn't be out riding his custom bike?

Dan, you can not wear those white mittens!

where in the heck did that sugar come from? Is that an old bike? or a recent photo?

or is it something different.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I did hear some gun shots over to the east so I tried to head in the opposite direction. I think I'll take your advice and maybe ride Moody park until snow comes. A tour would be much appreciated at Pinnacle as I did get a bit confused, although weather permitting, might have to be sometime this spring...

ps-The cycle depot has friday night road bike rides on trainers through the winter. I went last week. Nice little workout with a video.

The antler Sugar is my brother Tedd's bike. It's very popular in Michigan during bow season. It is a hybrid elk/moose , very fast on 29inch hoofs and rare. Did you notice the camo safety flag attached to the rear? I use this as my loaner bike if someone wants to go out with ne during hunting season. It's the only smart thing to do.

its really tough when your younger brother has a nicer bike than you...time to upgrade.

1 dab on Brians extenda climb (crash actually) but didn't have to get off the singlespeed.
