I ran into Chris at the HS tonight. He mentioned this ride for next year. Sounds fun.

Yes ... that is the route ... but I would want to do it in one day.

Yes, it would. Mark Gurney and I once did a ride of similar length, but with much more climbing. We rode the entire Cabot Trail in one day (180 miles and 11,000 feet of climbing around the perimeter of Cape Bretton, Nova Scotia, in 9:46 ride time). We left at dawn and finished the loop 1/2 hour before sunset ... or maybe it was closer than that. We stopped at 60 miles, 90 miles, and 120 miles to refill waterbottles and to get something to eat. I would do it again in a heartbeat!!!

I am a bit interested, but I am also more interested in this
http://www.northeastcycling.com/six_gaps.html

132 miles and 14500 feet of climbing. Less miles/more climbing.

Why can't we do both PJ? I am in training now.

The nice thing about the six-gap ride (which I have never done as a single ride, but I have done all but one of them as parts of different races) is that it is a loop. This is a huge selling point in my book.

Is there a team discount on a 34 tooth rear?
