As of today, Sunday looks to be near 50. A local spin around the Pinnacle is in order if anyone wants to. I would like to test a proposed race loop out. So officially it is a working ride. Out of season pace. PJ

Weather.com says weather looks good for tomorrow. If I can make it, I'll see you all at 1. If not, well.....I guess I won't. "If you brake, you don't win." Racer Mario Cipollini

I'm out......Can't swing it. I may get lucky for a late afternoon ride, but I doubt it. PJ

I am disappointed to be riding without the promised blizzard, but I'll still make it. Chris may be along also. MG

3 things I learned today - Trust your first instinct. If you can't trust yourself, who can you trust - Derailleur hangers do not like tree branches - Mark and Nathans casual pace is not my casual pace Other than that, a good ride. Got to clean up some trails, got to go swimming and got to ride forest trail and the plummet without a chain. I will say one thing, for having ridden for over 2 hours, it didn't even feel like I was pedaling there at the end. "If you brake, you don't win." Racer Mario Cipollini

For Ken's log: 10.8 miles, 1540 feet of vertical, 1 crank arm (recovered), 1 derailleur hanger (presumably replaced eventually). A very good ride for any time of the year, but absolutely fabulous for mid-December. And thanks to speedy Nathan who was far enough ahead that he could get off and clear the trail for us as we eventually caught up. MG

What can you say with weather like this, I'd rather be skiing, but MTB in mid-December in shorts, perfect temps and a blue sky over head, that was fun. I didn't want to stop. Thanks to Brian for blowing the trails, they were firm and you could see what needed to be seen. What the leaf blower couldn't move Gurney, Ken and I did. Now, pray for snow! Merry Solstice to all, Nathan. :D Alone in the woods, who stands to be King?
