A big thanks goes out to PJ, Mark, and Ken for helping with the Coit Summit Trail. A mile of grueling uphill now awaits those bold enough to take the Coit Summit Challenge. Benefits include great views, a fun downhill, and the self gratification of knowing you have climbed the beast of Newport. Step over Pinnacle, you have a big brother now.

For now the trail remains and up and back, however portions of the north face have already be cut and hopefully before winter is in full swing the north face will be complete as well bringing an all season long saga to a close. Upon it's full completion Coit Summit will run from 3 Rock (3 Rock connects Summer Street Extension with Hail Trail Connector) to Skunk Hollow near Outback.

Thanks again for the help, guys.

Mark and I rode the complete Coit Summit trail yesterday. Who would have thought there would ever be a completely ridable trail up that mountain? Other than a few glaciers forming on some of the exposed ledge, everything was quite ridable, but far from easy. Many kudos to Ryan for his amazing work this riding season.
