Hi, I visit the Lake Sunapee area each summer and was wondering if there are any regular rides in the area (weekday or weekend). I usually ride around the lake but would like to learn a few new routes and ride with others.

I ride regularly with a club in Southern California, average rider.

Thanks,

Rick

Rick you can always post up here when you are in town and available to ride, one or more of us is usually available to ride. We also mtb and maintain miles of trails if that is of any interest to you.

To answer your question we sponsor 2 Wed night rides, a road ride, and a mtb ride, that leave from the Newport High School parking lot at 5:30pm and frequently there is a Mon, Wed, Fri 5:30 [b:54aae28cf5]AM[/b:54aae28cf5] ride from Newport as well.

If you are looking to do a solo thing, check out the Local Loops section of our website, members have posted many local riding & running loops as well as times for the loops, as you are welcome to do as well.

There is at least one or two rides a week out of Claremont Cycle Depot as well, so you might consider contacting them as well: http://www.claremontcycle.com/

Weekends can be tricky to put together an imprompto ride since many members have young kids and also race on the weekends.

Welcome to the forum, Rick. Thanks for becoming a member and I look forward to riding with you during your visit.
