Some of the Cornish riders are going to get together at Dan Vigneault's house on Wed at 6pm (next to Arrow Ski Area access road) in Claremont. It would be really great if we could get a group together to go over. BYOB after ride. Ride will most like comprise of 10+- miles with plenty of climbing and some fast double track downhills. Ride will be no drops and a conversational pace (more or less). There is a variety of terrain to choose from and the route will more than likely be choosen based on the group who shows up.

I will definately be heading over and can swing by NHS for people to follow me over who don't know the way.

Well this turned out to be an interesting ride. Managed to get 6 miles in before the downpour, too bad it was over a mile back from there, but it could have been worse. Actually I thought the rain felt good, just made for poor visibility.

I managed to fulfill my crash quota for the year all in one top notch move. All the classic mistakes, I let up when I should have hammered hard, and then to make matters worse I looked where I didn't want to go. You combined those two with an aggressive passing maneuver and it's a recipe for disaster. It was a glorious pass to, for at least a bike length before I launched off the trail into a bed of downed tree debris. It was looking really bad for a moment there but somehow through a superman to rolling cannonball maneuver I managed to either miss or snap off all the nasty daggers with miraculously only minor lacerations. A move worthy of fattireb's classic crash movies, too bad a camera wasn't rolling, I would have loved to see an instant replay of this one.

I was behind Ryan going down the hill and as I took my eyes of the ledge drop offs I saw his body projected almost horizontal for an instance. Then there were multiple rolls for a good 20 to 30 feet over a small embankment. Very impressive! Didn't notice what he had landed on when I went flying by. I still can't figure out how he managed to land almost perpendicular to the trail.
