Also, is the new 2008 club membership form available?

Thanks,

Welcome to the 2008 Claremont Cycle Depot Club season,

We are excited to be offering new gear for club members for the upcoming cycling season. This year the offerings are being expanded to include shorts, gloves, socks, and jackets along with the jerseys. Our clothing supplier this year will be Champion System. The clothing comittee reviewed samples from Champion and were very satisfied with what they offer. Above you will find links for the order form, sizing chart, and design concepts. These are not the final proofs from the supplier, but will give you the general idea of what the 2008 kit will look like. This will be the jersey you must wear during 2008 events to receive race reimbursement. You must be a current CCD bike club member to purchase this gear. One last rule, you must buy at least one jersey in order to purchase any of the other gear being offered. Our goal is to have the new clothing in you hands by May 5th. In order to achieve this goal, we must have your completed order form and payment no later than February 29th. The low prices listed on the order form are based on us reaching the low minimums required by our supplier (we only need 10 jerseys ordered) and aquiring 5-6 sponsors. I am confident the minimums will be met, but would request a small surcharge at pick-up if they are not. We will send an e-mail and post here when clothing is ready and you will be able to pick up your order at Cycle Depot.

Looking forward to a great 2008,

Brian

Will the wind jacket and vest look like the jersey?

Yes, the jackets will use the same design as the jerseys. Cool thing with Champion Systems is that there is no minimum on jackets, socks, gloves and one short design. We just need to meet a minimum of 10 jerseys and 10 of one of the shorts options.

Hi all,

Is there a family membership option for the CCD or do we have to submit an application and $25 fee for each member?

What is the cost of the kids jersey? $20?

Thanks,
Tim

Tim,

There is not a family membership, so individual for each member. You can buy a kids jersey with your membership, no need for a menbership for the kids. The price is the same for the kids clothing.

Just a quick note to let you know that we have received a kit containing sample sizes from our supplier. Articles include men?s jerseys (club and race), women?s jerseys, men?s and women?s shorts. The kit must be returned within one week, so if you are unsure of your size take advantage of this quickly. The kit will be at Cycle Depot Saturday from noon until closing and all day Monday and Tuesday. Then it is off to the Newport Recreation Department for Tuesday night, Wednesday and Thursday.

Special thanks to Lambert Auto, Town and Country, All Season Construction, and Red River Computer for sponsoring the club once again this year.

Deadline for orders is February 29th

Today will be the last day for the fit kit at Cycle Depot. The kit will be moved to the Newport Rec. Dept. tonight, hope to have it there for the 6pm spin class. You will have until Thursday evening to try stuff on.

Folks,

I have heard a few people concerned about sizing of the jerseys. Please read below from the manufacturer. If you think you need to change the size you have already ordered just drop me an e-mail. The fit kit will be at the Newport Rec. 2 more nights if you want try the race and club cut for yourself.

Race Cut
We've designed our race cut jersey based on a European fit. It's a tailored design worn by only the fittest cyclists who are lean and mean. Think pro riders, elite category 1 and 2 riders and those super fit skinny guys that love to go up mountains fast. Just because you're a racer doesn't mean you should automatically order the race cut. We know lots of racers who order "club cut". Why? Because although they race almost every weekend they still have an American build and the tight-fitting Euro race cut just won't do the job.
Club Cut
For everybody else we offer the club cut. Mind you, our club cut is not a baggy potato-sack jersey. It's still a classic cycling jersey that fits the majority of our customers....even the racers who are not as slim as they might think.

This is it, your final week to submit your 2008 CCD clothing order. You can get your hands on the very same clothing worn by Tour of California stage 4 winner Dominique Rollin. Orders will be accepted through Saturday, do not miss out on the great prices and the chance to ride in the official Cycle Depot club gear in the upcoming season.
