If you are on 103a near 11 where the road abuts the lake and suddenly you hear what sounds like your jacket flapping, but you aren't wearing a jacket...

BEWARE the killer pheasant is about to land on your head!!!

Perhaps a little more detail is in order:

Down around Blodgett's Landing, Ryan had gapped the rest of the peloton, but the Killer Pheasant emerged from the woods along side the road, settled in behind him, and drafted behind him for a good 1/4 mile. It looked like Ryan might drop the Killer Pheasant, but as the road turned uphill, it attacked. Not attacked in the road cycling sense of accelerating to pass, but attacked as in strafed/dive bombed like he wanted to bring great harm to some part of Ryan or Ryan's Team Pinnacle kit.

Who knows? Was it the colors of his jersey or helmet? Whatever the cause, the Killer Pheasant was persistent. We'll have to see if he emerges again over the season.

A postman has used his mobile phone's video to prove that he came under attack from a wild pheasant. Despite kicking the bird away, the attacks have continued whenever the pair's paths have crossed.

Ryan is not alone it appears and the birds remember individuals. The youtube video is funny.

A rogue pheasant is believed to be behind a series of attacks on unsuspecting walkers in Wiltshire.
