No new folks...

Dan, even with your ss 29 front, I couldn't stay with you on the uphills. good thing that you and Mark were still recovering from your run the night before.

Good Luck everyone at Bear Brook, a shame that I will miss it.

On my last TWO mountain bike rides (one at Webb Forest and one at Pinnacle), I ran into the same fella. I think his name was Herb and he is from Alaska/Colorado. I informed him of this web site, and encouraged him to post up or join in a ride or two. Nice guy, and I told him you all are nice guys too.

Hope to hear from you Herb!

Where is FTB?? Gas prices too high?

Dana, Last year when PJ first got his SS I said to myself "good now maybe I can keep up" I was blown away by how fast he climbed. I learned that it's because he doesn't have a choice to go slower. It's an odd sensation you know you have to turn over the crank and because of the gearing you go faster than you normally would on a geared bike. I guess it just shows that we all can use higher gears than we like. I get tired more quickly but during the time I am riding I seem to climb faster unless the incline is very steep. I don't want to ride SS all the time but it's fun occasionally. I think it is a good training tool and early season power developer.

Well, you are all going faster than me at this point. I am hoping to get back on my bike tomorrow. Between almost broken foot and flu, I haven't been on my bike in about 3 weeks.
