Today may be the day when we find out if Lance has anything. Uphill finish, although relatively short in tour stages, its big enough to drop all sprinters and find out who is climbing.........

Lance will probably lose a bit today as he races into form. No doubt he is getting close though and should be looking very good in a couple weeks. There is a chance he has been downplaying his actual fitness level and will suprise today though.

Danilo Di Luca had some interesting comments in La Gazzetta this morning: "We have to eliminate Armstrong early from the race or he will do like Contador did last year. If we let him hang around, he will only get stronger and he could be a major factor later in the race. The other favorites should collaborate to make it hard these next two days and try to get rid of Armstrong. You can never underestimate him." [/quote]
