May 31 is the date this year for one of our favorite races. Who plans on going this year? Tyler and I are going and will have room for a few others.

The family and I might be interested in going over on Sunday. I will keep you updated. We could do a little pre-ride while the family plays on the beach.

Who's in? I can transport seven bikes, and three humans, although two of the humans need to be at peace with the back seat of the truck.

The course has changed - novices are 14 miles, all the rest of us are 25 miles.

He should be OK, it's not like they moved the venue two years ago.

I'm planning on going as well, JB give me an email at the shop tomorrow. I can probably meet you at the New London park and ride off of 89. We'll nail down the time tomorrow if that's ok.

If you get done and you have time (and you're interested) give a call or stop in the shop... I'd like to pick your brain about potential tire selection and course ?'s. We're open till 5

Thanks!

Jason, I've used the round ones in the past for this course. Considering the weather lately, rubber may be the best material choice.

I may have spoken too early about having the van for Sunday. So Tyler and I will probably go down together in the Corolla, get some one on one coaching time.

and that right there is sheer genius ladies and gentlemen!

More looking for traction options. I've got several sets of tires (go figure) and depending on how this place drains / dries... well you know the drill... I've never been there before I guess is the bottom line, so I'd like to be as "prepared" as possible.

I rode the Pinnacle yesterday, if Bear Brook drains anything like the Pinnacle you guys are going to have great conditions tomorrow.

Good luck to all!

Dan and Dana can meet me at my house at 7:30. We will stop by the NL Park & Ride at 7:45 to pick up Brandon. Dan, please bring your pickup bed bike mount, we'll be able to take Brandon's bike without my having to set up the hitch mounted carrier.

Sound like a plan?

I'll have my own coffee, thanks. (Just don't ask me to report to doping control.) Just to be clear: 7:30 my house, 7:45 New London Park & Ride. One of you better know where we're going, otherwise we might end up at Ken's old homestead...

I road the course this afternoon. It is pretty darn dry, I would say 90% has completely dried out. I would say the race is going to be longer than last years. I would guess closer to 1:45 for the 2 loops.

Lets make an attempt to all park together. As soon as you enter the parking go to the right and park along the edge closest to the road. For those who went last year, this is where we ended up after the race was over. May not work out, but will be cool if we can.
