Wow, what a great day today was! I will admit that I was VERY nervous when we got there, but as PJ said as soon as the gun went off, I was fine. Joanne and I were really in it for the experience and not the best times. (Good thing, huh?) Even though we were really, really slow, we had lots of fun noodling through the woods. As I've learned with every event I've participated in with Team Pinnacle, it's not about the final results, it's about the journey. Thank you for all of shouts of encouragement--a new experience for me! A friend of mine told me that the best part of doing these things at our age is that you often end up in the winner's circle by default--thus coming in second(OUT OF TWO) in my age category. Ha! Again, it was a fun time--thanks to the sponsors and volunteers--oh, and Mother Nature for backing off on the rain for a little bit!

Cheers!
Julie.
