`I was wondering if anyone has pre-rode the race course. I am trying to figure out what gear to run and tire selection. Is the course as flat as bear brook or more like Moody Park. Tire selection is semi slicks or super fast slicks. Ayn input would be appreciated.

Have not been out there this year. I know from years past that some parts of the course are usually wet even when other courses in the area are dry. You asked about comparison to Bear Brook and Moody. IMO it's more like Bear Brook but much less technical and not as steep of hills. It will be a very fast course for you. Use a gear you won't quickly spin out on there are lots of flats and go fast sections.

Muddy, muddy, muddy.

I managed a no dab lap early this afternoon, but I believe that success depended upon being able to thread a preferred line around about eight mudholes - one of which is the infamous Pig's Wallow. It stunk!

There are no big climbs. It is more like Bear Brook than Moody.

I would run semi's, as the course is bound to be greasy in many places. Racing won't make the mudholes any easier. Put on lots of chain lube!

Did you ride the Claremont Crit?

Cheers,

thanks guys.
I tried to race claremont today but I couldn't because of my license. I was told that you could race cat 4 with a one day, but you can not.
See you in the am,
