Al Morena was trying out a new mountain bike on or about Thursday.
He may have bought it, having gone over the bars and into an encounter with rocks requiring an ambulance ride to the Concord Hospital followed by hip surgery. He is now sporting a pin and screws in his hip and is recovering in the Hospital, due home Monday.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune Al. The new bike probably faired better than you did. I wish you a quick recovery and that you get back into action soon.

I haven't logged into TP for a while and saw this post...Al had surgery this past weekend and is doing just fine. I'll post his email and snail mail tomorrow for any well-wishes. I think we should throw a party at his house in about a month or so to let him know that we're still thinking about him...
