Ken and I snowshoed from my house today up Pinnacle and all the way to the top of Coit. Surprisingly I think it's easier to snowshoe up Brake Burner then it is to walk up it, especially when you have Ken to brake the trail for you. :) I think it's easier, not to be confused with easy, because the way the snow packs it's more like going up steps then having your foot be at a precarious angle in Summer.

We covered 4.25 miles in 2:20 verses the 3.5 miles Mark and I did yesterday in 2.5 hours. Thanks to Mark's trail blazing yesterday and my 26 pounds less of gear as well as me not stopping 6 times to switch over from alpine skis to snowshoes and vice versa, we were able to covered more ground.

In summary: the snowshoeing is great. I have an extra pair if someone wants to go but doesn't have snowshoes, plus some trails have already been broken in.

Yup, it was quite a hike, but Ryan made it easy for me. He broke most of the trails, I only had to break 3 Rock and Break Burner. I will have to remember to return the favor this summer. :D
