Well I went out for a casual 6-7 mile MTB ride today and got a lot more than I bargoned for. There was a ton of debris down on the trails today (Pine Link, Bear Trap, Outback, Skunk Hollow, and even Summer St Ext., guess no one had been on those trails since Hurricane/Monsoon season). What should have been a 1.5 hour ride turned into a 4+ hour clear the debris fest. Well the aforementioned trails are now ridable and newly marked in questionable areas (even the current logging area), however, there is still a lot of small stuff and leaf cover everywhere. Good news is the trails are starting to firm up again and are mostly dry. I also moved the big tree on Pinnacle Bypass but didn't get to the whole trail, cleared a path around a large tree at the top of Barton Woods, and moved the tree completely out of the trail midway up Barton Woods. I did not get to 3 Rock or any of the new Coit trails so rider beware if you head in that direction.

Happy Trails

Trails Update:

3 Rock to Coit Summit to Bolder Cross and back to Summer Str Ext is now ridable again. I removed most of the big stuff tonight. The Hail Trail end of 3 Rock, Upper Coit Summit past Bolder Cross, and Fall Line are not cleaned. I also opened up the North side of Coit Summit trail, accessible via newer Skunk Hollow extention near Outback for those interested in an out and back on some new stuff. Trail is cleared at least to the first big ledge, I haven't been much past it since the beggining of Summer but could be ridable for another 400 + yards.

Be advised with exception of the 2005 Foliage 400 course all trails have a think blanket of leaves covering them and even cleared trails still have a lot of small debris and leaves.
