Most calendars are filling up fast at this time, so I thought I'd start a thread to get some TP Fun Ride dates organized.
Lets start with Burke usually in Sept. right :?:
Then there is the Corbin Park Loop, lets get this one in this year :!:
I think it would be a blast to do a 3-town ride from Webbs in Sunapee through the Pinnacle in Newport to Moody in Claremont and have riders from all three towns involved. We've thought of this as a race in the past, but a simple fun ride would take much less effort in hopes of the event coming off.
If we could get an open weekend for another get together and do a team ride at Vietnam or something of that ilk would be a blast. :)
I had one more idea that has left my brain at this time, so anyother ideas out there :?:
Sorry for all the emoticons, my daughter is helping me with this post

Good idea Nathan getting some dates early will really help. A couple weeks ago Brian and I were talking about an article in a biking mag that did a tour of the Blue Ridge mountains. That would be a real blast. There also is a Vermont loop that takes in several good mountain climbs I don't know the name of it but I think most of it is near our area. PJ knows about this.

White Mountains ride. I definately want to do it this year.
We also never made it to Captain High Pressure land last season.

Lake Sunapee Summit- Date to be announced. Created by Gurney.

Lake- Kayak 5-7 Miles on pristine waters. Beg borrow and steal Kayak.

Sunapee- 1 lap around Lake Sunapee on Road Bike.

Summit- Summit trail hike/run to the top on Summit Trail.

Solo, teams, cookout after.......

I would be for deferring or possibly both the White Mountain ride for the http://www.northeastcycling.com/six_gaps.html
THis ride is 132 miles if you do all 6 gaps.... But we could have a bailout option after 4 gaps........If I do 132 miles in a row, I need a full lunch 1/2 way.....Knowing you clowns you would go for it all.

A Calendar on the home page might be good, so we can start logging the dates on our calendar at home, and plugging in spring projects in exchange for riding time.

Vietnam would be great, Is Lynn woods still rideable?.......A tour guide will be needed. I haven't been to Cornish in a while either.

THats my 2 cents.

I like your idea about a calendar to be filled in by the crew for the up coming season. That way we can get in other important dates for trail work, social event and if we must a road ride.
And yes, we need to get to Cornish, it's to close not to.

In other news did you all catch the 4 consecutive home runs in 10 pitches on the Wyankees tonight. Hah, makes me laugh to see them cry.

Yes a Calendar will be created / deployed, however, it could be some time before I get to it.

Sorry guys, I'm up to my eyeballs in code right now and way behind schedule creating a whole new website content management system for several other website projects. Once completed, or should I say useable, since it will never truely be completed, perhaps we will start to see some of the benefits here as well.

More to come of this subject later.

For the gap ride I would like to propose a weekday event, starting and stopping at a campground on the route. Maybe camp Sunday night and ride Monday? Just thinking about it recently.

A weekday event would work much better for me.

To be more specific, I could only do the ride if it were on a weekday.
