Sad situation.

He is a lying piece of crap. He only admitted anything after it was obvious there was no way out. Now he says he planned on doping for the '06 tour, but never has doped prior. He claims his '06 Giro performance was clean. That is total BS Mr. Basso. You decimated the field in the Giro, if that performance was clean why in the hell would you need to dope for the Tour? You cheated, you lied for a year about it, and now we are supposed to say, "thanks for being honest, see you in a couple years"? I would be happy if he was never allowed to turn a crank again in his life.

I agree with Brian. It should be a lifetime ban for anyone who tests positive or doped blood is found that matches their DNA.
